What began as a side hustle in college back in 2017 turned into a full time business in 2020 based on my long time love of art, design, and hand-lettering. From a young age, I always had a passion for using my creativity to bring others joy. With my own personal lettering style and attention to detail in my designs, I get to create pieces that are unique to my clients every day, and that in itself is special to me.

I believe in the worth of all persons. My faith is shaped by principles that emphasize grace, justice, and the equal dignity of all people. I believe religion is at its best only when it reflects God/the Divine’s expansive love and makes room for everyone at the table. It is important to me that my clients don’t have to wonder where I stand. All are welcome, and all love is truly celebrated here at Letters by Maude!

If I had to tell you a reason to hire me, it’s this: I put my heart into everything I make. Every piece is unique to the person I make it for. You can’t find my pieces or my hand-writing in a big box store. I grew up in a small town in the beautiful hills of Arkansas and now reside in the Kansas City area with my sweet husband, Cameron. In my free time, I enjoy traveling to new places and old favorites, creating *just for fun*, listening to a wide variety of music, reading, trying new restaurants and recipes, writing, laying in my hammock catching some sun, thrifting, and spending quality time with my big family.
